Having worked in professional kitchens for 30+ years, this is a great range with plenty of BTU™€™S. The burners are spaced well so it is easy to use multiple burners at a time. The griddle works great for hash-browns, pancakes, smash-burgers & more. I love having it integrated & ready to use anytime without having to change out another grate.

SCRATCHES DIRECT FROM MANUFACTURER

This is for the 48™€ with griddle. It™€™s gets one star as I liked the lights! But the drama is with the manufacturering plants. I had minimum of 10 different brand new from manufacturer (some came from Italy and some from Mexico) on pallets in factory packaging ALL come with scratches and what looked like attempt to buff out scratches to the metal top and front. In addition to this the brass caps that go on top of the stove do not come secure so they will add additional scratches to the new black part of the stove especially when delivery puts pallets sideways or just when removing packaging. Does not appear to have oversight at the manufacturer it plant. These 10 all came from About January to May as I only needed one!

Scratches and buff marks on ALL cook tops

The burners cook nicely. There are lights around the knobs and lights under the lip of the front. You can press a button for the option of turning on either the knobs or under the front lip of the cooktop. Or you can have both on at the same time. Really nice feature. Here is where the real frustration that earned a 2 star. We had a new build and the stove was to be replaced due to scratch. You cannot I repeat do not let anyone try to buff out a scratch no matter what they say their expertise is. We received 8-10 brand new stoves over 8 months and they all had factory scratches and buffed out looking scratches! I asked if they were getting refurbished stoves as that™€™s what it looked like. It was from the manufacturer as they were all on their pallets with original packaging. This stove is $$$$. The last one we received was no different. I called Monogram early on to give them a heads up what was happening, hoping they will reassess. Nothing changed.

Great features BUT™€¦..

I love my cooktop range and the overall appearance and functionality of it. However, if you like to cook, as I do, this cooktop is definitely not for you. As stated in other review, the brass on the burners is real brass so it patinas which looks terrible. It would not be so bad if this happened gradually with each use but it happens immediately after one use. Of course it gets worse with use. If you cook 5 days a week or more you will not be happy with the clean up that is involved with maintaining this product. Soaking the burners in the vinegar only works for so long. I have this cooktop since May and the vinegar trip stopped months ago. I also use Barkeepers friend and between the two and lots of elbow grease it looks like the cooktop is ten years old. Pitiful. As wonderful as it cooks is as terrible as it cleans up. And if I am spending an hour to prepare a meal I do not want to speak 2x™€™s that to clean up the stove only to know i have to get up the next more to finish the job because the burners had to soak overnight in vinegar!!!! Preposterous!

Good cooktop - poor installation

Happy with our cooktop but not happy with the installation. The appliance company, Texas Appliance did a very poor job on the installation. When we called them to come back, they improved the underneath to stablize the unit but it is still not placed in the counter correctly.

Beautiful, but can't handle a pot boiling over.

We loved this rangetop until we had a pot boil over 4 months after install and the accent LEDs started flashing red. GE denied the warranty repair claim stating that we "misused" the rangetop. Beware that you are paying a premium price for a product that the manufacturer doesn't stand behind. If they want to place electric components inside the unit they should ensure it is appropriately sealed or the components are out of reach of a boiling over pot. The reality is that cooking is messy and for the price GE charges, they should be standing behind their products rather than gaslighting the customer.

The stove top works great, Don™€™t get me wrong. But the gold caps are so sensitive. They look awful over time and you almost need to replace them fully every year. GE should sell all the gold caps and the gold burner bases as a replacement set at cost to current owners because even the vinegar trick isn™€™t quite doing it anymore. Like no reason the replacement set should be over $100. Just a thought.

I fell in love with the look. nice lights beautiful brass. but after waiting months and forking over $5800+ we enjoyed it for nearly 2 weeks. The brass parts now look awful and disgusting. Black spots everywhere, it doesnt seem natural to have gone bad so quick... we even tried soaking them in hot lemon water. This range was supposed to be the nicest thing in the kitchen, now its the scariest thing. Now 5 months in the auto ignite takes longer to ignite, which is quite unsafe.

Even heating, cooks very well. I would prefer that the burners were setup (large, medium, small) in a different configuration. The top 'edging' stainless steel piece was bent/dented when it was installed. Awaiting resolution from GE on replacement piece

Beautiful cooktop getting service is a challenge

This cooktop has been a beautiful accent to our kitchen and 5 out of the 6 burners work perfectly. We™€™ve been having challenge with one burner that won™€™t work when turned lower than medium. We reached out to Monogram and they set up a service call with A&E factory service and the technician refused to perform service when he arrived explaining that he was ™€œOverflow Service™€ and I needed to get a certified GE Rep. I Tried to enter a case online only to be told that the system was down and I needed to call their toll free number. When you call you are pointed back to the website or forced to wait long times on hold. I am not really impressed with getting the run around especially since it goes against GE™€™s advertised claims about warranty and reliability, I remain optimistic that it™€™s a temporary challenge related to staffing issues.
