Really easy set up and conversion to Liquid Propane ( LP nozzles and instructions were included). Really big oven with pretty quick pre heat. Burners and grates are very sturdy and a great mix of sizes.

The knob to turn on one of the gas burners was accidently rubbed against by my private installer turning it so that gas was released without ignition. He left for lunch and about 5 minutes went by I smelt gas two rooms away. My first thought was is the gas leaking from the new gas lines or second from the water heater/room heater pilots that were relighted after the house gas was turned back on. Not being sure I opened all windows and went to the stove and noticed a slightly turned knob. Solved, but on this 1st time of use I noticed that all 4 top range knobs could be turned ever so slightly without much of any real resistance. An unwitting glance of a part of the body or object carried may be the culprit to remember or warned in the future. I have no complaint of the ease of control knobs turning and only bring this to your attention. The matter of more tension be in play in the knob turning or not is beyond my call. It may be an issue to double check on for safety sake.

This is not a safe product. The burner controls are accidentally turned on with just slight bumping. Then the gas leaks out. I have bent over to start the oven and had flames jump up from the burner. So dangerous!

The quality of this range is a lot sturdier than my old one. Ex. The older one dented easily during the delivery. The burners did have a faint gas smell the first day only. I haven™€™t tried the oven yet but the oven door is heavier than my old one which I think is a better feature because I always worried that the door was going to close while I was putting the food in. The ignition is not as fast as my old one , there is a short pause. The controls are nicer and the cleaning is a lot easier , I guess because of the better material it is made from.

We purchased the GE 30" Free-Standing Gas Range within the last year. We have a big family and a small space. We use the stove and oven a lot! I have noticed a flaw that is somewhat annoying. When using the back left burner when the oven is on, the exhaust out of the top of the oven blows out half of the burner. It doesn't seem very safe. Many times I have 3 or more burners going at once so it is a little inconvenience. The oven works good though and the broiler is nice underneath. And if I'm using the burners without the oven on it is not a problem. Without that flaw I would have giving it 5 stars.

Compared to my previous GE range, this model was inferior from the display control options to the broiler. Unfortunately, I hadn™€™t realized until after install that the broiler wasn't inside the oven (at the top). Just as disappointing is that the broiler located at the bottom of the range has a pulldown door (instead of a pullout drawer) which makes pulling out the rack awkward and potentially unsafe when the rack is blazing hot when removing broiled food. You have to get down pretty low to the floor to check on the progress of the broiling. I don™€™t feel it was a good buy for the cost.

The range/oven is a decent price and aesthetically it looks nice. However, the broiler in the bottom is basically un-usable and the surface of the range where the oven controls are (behind the burners) gets screaming hot™€¦ feels like hundreds of degrees while I am using the oven. I don™€™t feel safe using this product and have given myself burns just from touching the top of the oven or trying to set the timer during use. We had the oven professionally installed and there is no support provided
