The refrigerator articulating mullion alignment was out when delivered. I had to put in spacers on the bottom door hinges to lift the doors so the mullion would close.

Becomes super loud after a week of plug in

A week after plugging in and it starts making really loud sounds like it's reveing it's engine about to take off! Call for a service to come out, but it won't be for a week. This is an out of the box new machine and it sounds like it's been running for 40 years and is about to give out! Aweful manufacturers defect?? This is too expensive to be selling machines that hardly want to do their one job.

Purchased this model November 2023, in summer 2025 (19 months) the refrigerator began making loud pulsating noises.... The service manual indicated that loud noises were normal in warmer temperatures. With cooler fall temperatures the noise stopped...now the summer of 2026 the noises have returned and the refrigerator now will not cool. The freezer is working but the refrigerator will not cool. The service manual references, loud noises!

I am very disappointed in this refrigerator. I have only had this refrigerator for 10 months and I am currently waiting for a technician to come out for the fifth time. I had issues with this refrigerator when it was just six weeks old. The motherboard has been replaced, the fan has been replaced and also something else which I can™€™t remember. My bottom freezer occasionally is getting frost on the top left-hand side of the door along with frost on the sides and bottom of the trays. It also gets caught occasionally when I try to open the freezer door on one side, and currently the light is out as well. I have called for service and I am waiting to have it checked. Also, when the refrigerator was delivered, it had scratches on the bottom freezer door, which I did not realize until two days later. I should have called about it, but I figured because I didn™€™t discover it right away that they would assume that I put the scratches there which I did not. The bottom freezer door also has a tiny tiny little dent in the top so I™€™m wondering if this refrigerator has been dropped.

Happy with this refrigerator

We are mostly happy with our new GE French door refrigerator. We previously owned (for 18 yrs!!) a GE Profile French door, so it was similar. We love the LED lighting and the clear drawers because items are more visible. Not crazy about the ice bucket, as cubes tend to fall off the back onto the freezer floor when we open the freezer door. The old one had freezer drawers that were not connected to the door, which I think I prefer. I think the door shelves are a little deeper which is ok but it makes the fridge shelves a little more shallow which means the shelves hold a little less. That™€™s not a huge problem, just something I™€™ve noticed. Also, the old one registered the actual temp in the fridge and in the freezer, but this one registers what temp those areas are set to, not what they really are. On the positive side, it seems to keep ice cream frozen and there is a plentiful supply of ice! I do LOVE the fingerprint resistant finish! It cleans, as promised, with just a soapy sponge and not a print remains, whereas the old one was much harder to clean and had faint spots of rust. All 3 doors close tightly which is a def positive.

I received the first refrigerator on 6/26/26. The install was great. The refrigerator ran for 3 days - non-stop. I called & asked if that was normal. A repairman came out & said he couldn't fix it to get another refrigerator. The second refrigerator came 6/26/26 with 2 huge dents. The third refrigerator came 6/27/26 (all three were the same model). Although it took a while for the third one to cool - this one doesn't run quite as much but it still runs a lot. Not so sure it's as 'energy efficient' as advertised. Thinking maybe I shoulda stayed with an LG......

It works fine, but will never get this kind again. The bottom freezer part continually squeeks and makes a screaching sound when I open it. Also, the ice drawer is clunky....just not what I thought it would be and the installation guy did NOT help setting it up inside the unit like I thought he would.

The configuration in the fridge is non user friendly. ™€¦ can™€™t sit milk, etc on shelves. Froze top shelf items from the time we purchased no matter what the setting. For us useless small drawer. The fridge broke after only 2 years service. It stopped cooling in the fridge portion. There is no one you can talk to in customer service to ask questions. I was unable to reach a real person.The computer is pretty useless with any non standard question. It™€™s either schedule repair or nothing. Thank goodness for a warranty through Lowes. The fridge required several things to repair. I feel sad that such a grand old company in my opinion now has such poor customer service™€¦. and have had a very bad experience with the product. Very sad. GE products were wonderful in the past.

Like the size and configuration. Do not like that the top shelf of the freezer comes out when opening the freezer and occludes access to the bottom of the freezer. Also when it is running, there is a high pitched sound that is annoying.

It has been serviced 3 times and still freezes up and gets very niosy when it does. I have had to manually edfrost it 3 times. Makes lots of ice but I don't like opening the frezer to get ice and opening the refrigerator to get water. I had in the door ice and water before and I was spoiled. Water button hard to use. Bad! Noisy, loud vibration and humming noise. Variable speed fan makes a long distance "fog horn" sound. We can hear through entire house. This is very irritating. When getting and using 3 to 4 glasses of water from interior water dispenser the water is warm.

The second day we had it one of the door bins cracked. The freezer drawer has to be checked every time you close it to make sure it seals. There is nothing blocking it to prevent it from sealing so I'm not sure what the problem is. We bought a GE specifically because we were told they are easy to get serviced. If they correct issues I will change rating. It is a nice looking appliance

Ice maker fins were broken and the technician said it was off all the way (we still don™€™t know what one has to with the) The ice maker is located in the back left far corner. So much usable frig space

Frig is great! Quiet, even ice maker. It has split, movable shelves. We could only fit a 33in but it has plenty of usable frig space with the drop shelf for tall items. I love that the french doors open almost flush to counter so that I can get a large Turkey out without knocking items out of the door shelves (like the side-by-side). The only 2 notable negatives... - would be nice to have a push button under the inside water nozzle, so glass would trigger the flow, rather than 2nd hand to hold the button. - the freezer drawer does not slide as easily once filled with food.

Our refrigerator is only 4 years old, and already the handles on all three doors are loose. Why? Because, although the handle is stainless steel, the brackets holding them to the doors are CHEAP plastic and are cracked with very light use from two adults. The kicker is you can't just buy the stupid brackets, you have to buy an ENTIRELY NEW Handle. Ge is actuallybeing sued due to this, and some models have been recalled...but not this one. (The interior door shelves are also poorly-constructed, cheap plastic.) Very unhappy.

Very nice refrigerator with french doors and bottom freezer. The adjustable interior shelves and large door shelves in the refrigerator section are excellent and can be configured in several different ways in order to maximize capacity, which is about the largest you can find in a 32" product. The freezer can be organized easily and the icemaker works beautifully. Holds temperature quite well -- cooled down rapidly upon delivery and setup. Operates quietly and the interior lighting is adequate! Very happy with our purchase.

It looks beautiful in my kitchen although it is deeper than I expected. (It sticks out a little further than my last refrigeration.) It is quiet and does not show fingerprints or smudges. It does not come with a butter dish or a specific place to put the dish that I had to buy. (not a big deal.) The water spigot is a little awkward to use, but I don't see a better place for it. Maybe it could be a little bigger. I will adjust.

This refrigerator has made noise since we got it! It's cause us nothing but problems. A bunch of phone calls to Customer service who don't help. Leaving work early twice for service calls and the refrigerator still makes noise!! DON'T BUY A GE APPLIANCES!! WILL NEEEEEVVVVVVEERRRR! BUY A GE PRODUCT AGAIN! We replaced an old side-by-side refrigerator with the bottom freezer/french door. We LOVE it!! We no longer have ice access on the outside of the frig but with a designated plastic measuring cup in the ice cube bucket, not even an issue. And a QUIET ice maker, SO much better than what we replaced! I was concerned reading posts of frig's dying after a couple weeks but I've used 3 thermometers, 2 in the frig and 1 in the freezer, and all are keeping to temp. I thought it was noisy when the compressor would kick on but we figured out that the feet were not correct. Once I adjusted the front feet so that everything was level, noise from the compressor was no longer an issue.

I bought this refrigerator on February 17 2025 and for the past 4 months there™€™s been over freezing in the top refrigerator and leaking from the freezer. I spent over $1000 on the fridge and it didn™€™t even last one year.

More Room Than Expected

We downsized a bit from our old fridge but find that we have more room than our old one since we opted for the no ice and water in the door. Instead of a big ice maker taking up room in the door we have full shelves with plenty of room for everything and more. While I like the water spigot in the side of the door frame, I wish it wasn't as difficult to press and hold while filling a glass. I will say that the water filter is the best I've ever experienced. The ice has no flavor and the water is extremely filtered and tastes great.

We have had less than 24 hours, but I really like the spaciouness of this refrigerator. The lighting is really good. It holds more that the side by side that we just replaced. We needed something to fix the space; we purchased without seeing it but so far we are not disappointed. I can only speak of the aesthetics so far, not the reliability.
