Just switched to "bold setting" to see if the taste is better. Have been using moderate. I had to call to find out how to turn the pot off. The water reservoir does not always fully empty after brewing. Overall it looks a lot better than it delivers. Would not purchase again. Do not want to go thru a return process.

Makes a great pot of coffee.Looks great on my counter top. Only holds 10 cups, but my morning coffee is more flavorful than with my old coffee machine. Not sure if it™™s the reusable filter or the temperature that it™™s brewed at, but definitely a better cup of coffee.

I™™ve had this coffee maker for two years now and it just stopped working one day. It wouldn™™t brew all of the water and the coffee was cold. The copper on the handle flaked off. I reached out to customer service but they only have a one year warranty. I guess I had too high of expectations for spending $300 on a coffee maker. Very disappointed.

I expected so much more from a coffee maker at this price point. There are a few display defects. The control panel has black defect lines on the side. The Brew button is twisted and not centered.
The coffee filter does not fully filter out coffee grounds.

I have purchased three of these units over the past few years. The first unit for my home worked great for little over a year. At 14 months it would no longer start the brew process. I sent it to GE and after complaining to customer service they replaced it under warranty. I then purchased another unit for work. The home replacement lasted a little over one year and had the same problem as the first unit, wont start the brew. This time GE would not replace the unit. The third unit at my work lasted 14 months and guess what, wont start the brew process. This is not a coincidence. There is a manufacturer defect and I'm sure GE knows about it. I will never again buy a GE appliance.

I really want to like this unit but I cant recommend it. Something is definitely wrong with the quality of the glass Carafe. The craftmanship must be poor. The glass carafe is far too delicate. We have gone thru 3 in 18 months. At $70 a carafe that an additional $210.00. Now with our third cracked carafe and non will be potentially available for more than month. We are very conscientious of how delicate they are but with slightest of issues it seems to crack. Very disapponting

So, I™™ve had this now for about 2 years. Here is my honest review. I REALLY like the coffee maker. Not love though. lol. The carafe on the other hand SUCKS. The materials used to make this ™pretty™ are so subpar it™™s ridiculous. I hand washed all parts and the handle STILL started chipping in under 6 months. It™™s so bad now that I have to be careful how I pick it up because things (pieces of metal?) are starting to stick out. AND™¦ to top that off, things are even chipping in-between where the coffee comes out and where the pot/lid goes. Noticed that when wiping everything down one day.
ARE YOU LISTENING GE? I™™d much rather have a coffee maker that I can put the carafe, lid and filter holder in the dishwasher than a carafe that I had to wash by hand and still looks like crap now. I mean™¦ it looks BAD.
The coffee maker itself is good! I love the fact that I can fill up the water and only brew what I need. Really like the gold setting! Love that it has wifi so we can use that on the weekends before getting out of bed. The controls are easy to use and it™™s easy to program.

Everyone loves the look of this coffee maker so I will not spend time on that. Most everyone loves the coffee that comes out of it. The "Gold" setting as determined by the SCMA works brilliantly. I LOVE this coffee maker, couldn't be happier. I did have one bad experience and may have written before on this this but the instruction manual does not clearly state how to run the descaling process. If you look closely at the print on the buttons on the machine, you will see "Press and Hold..." to start descaling. It doesn't operate properly if you follow the directions as written in the manual. Hopefully, they've corrected that. Now that I know how to do it, it works exactly as it's supposed to. My "Descale" light would not go off and I thought it was a defective machine and it was ultimately replaced but I now know that it wasn't. Again, couldn't be happier and I'm not someone who's easily pleased.

This coffee pot was lovely for 13 months....1 month past its warranty it stopped working. Now it keeps erroring saying to add water even when the reservoir is full. I called twice...GE was very nice - but the first time they told me i may need to do the app update (never hooked it to wifi and pretty sure that the app isn't going to fix the water pump) and the second time they registered me for some way to get one at a discount (which honestly i would have been more than happy with). Turns out the website they sent me is MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THIS WEBSITE!
WHAT IN THE WORLD?! talk about bad service....
We have other cafe appliances, sure hope they're made better than this and sure hope i never need service for them.....

After a year and a half, the rose gold design feature on the machine and the carafe handle is bubbled and flaking off. I guess it is due to the heat it is exposed to as a coffee maker. If that is the case, it is a real design flaw. Now my concern is whether any flakes are landing IN my coffee. I was excited about the rose gold design of this machine when I purchased, but now that design element looks cheap. Disappointing.

Received for Christmas, GE Cafe stainless steel, cannot see serial # but can include pic of back. I do not feel it has been performing as expected.
Despite following the user manual and adjusting the settings as recommended, the coffee maker does not heat up adequately. As a result, the coffee brews at a suboptimal temperature, leaving it lukewarm rather than hot. Additionally, the coffee produced is consistently weak, regardless of the strength setting used. If you do not use extra coffee grounds, it's weak. When adding too many grounds, the shower style water brewer gets covered in grounds. Very messy
Given that I have always valued the quality and reliability of your products, I am quite surprised and dissatisfied with this experience. I would appreciate it if you could provide guidance on how to resolve these issues or if there was a recall I may have missed. If necessary, I am open to the possibility of a replacement or repair.

This machine is the best brewer I have ever used. It™™s easy to fill with grounds and water, brews quickly, and the flavor of the coffee is smooth with no bitterness. I am using the permafilter that came with the machine, as well as the default ™gold™ brew setting. It looks nice on the counter as well.

My coffee maker worked great for a year and a half and then one day it started giving an error and stopped working. The GE support team offered little to no help on replacing or fixing the unit. I had to call 4 or 5 different times to talk to the correct person and when I did talk to the correct person, they did not give me a way to fix the unit and they told me it was just out of warranty and I would have to purchase another one. This unit is not cheap and I am very disappointed at the lack of support.
Do yourself a favor and just buy a different Coffee Maker

Love the coffee maker, but only gave it four stars because of what I consider a design flaw. That design flaw is that the water container does not have any way of evaporating the moisture during the day, and I must prop the lid open so that moisture does not build up and create a mold situation. Otherwise, this Coffee maker makes a very good cup of coffee and I like the fact that there is a mobile app which allows me to change the brewing or start it from another room.

Since day 1 I couldn't get hot coffee. I call to have it fixed and I have to jump through hoops, instead of just replacing it. They want a short video of the problem. How the I make a video showing that the coffee does not get hot? It's an overpriced pile of trash. While I do appreciate the Bluetooth capability, it isn't worth the extra money.

After a year and a half the handle of the carafe is chipping. The copper peeling appears to be an ongoing complaint from many customers. I called the consumer support to find out if they have any recalls about this issue. The response was that the warranty had expired and nothing can be done. The peeling of the copper foil is sharp and I cut my finger. Unfortunately, don™™t be fooled by the aesthetics of this product.

Something about trying to brew only 3-4 cups makes it so that the coffee doesn™™t quite come out hot enough. The brew cycle happens so quickly it™™s almost as if the machine doesnt heat the water enough before it runs throught the filter. Maybe there could be a small brew function for when you only want 2-4 cups of coffee.
